Pass2U Alternatives in 2026: 6 Wallet Pass Platforms Compared

Compare six Pass2U alternatives by pricing unit, operating model, migration effort, and fit for Apple and Google Wallet pass programs.

2026-08-04 By Alen Todorov

If you are comparing Pass2U alternatives, the right shortlist depends on which function you need to replace. Consider WalletWallet for self-serve pass operations while your application keeps customer and program data, PassKit for a broad wallet engagement platform, PassNinja for NFC and SDK workflows, Passcreator for EU-hosted no-code operations, WalletThat for dashboard-led pass operations, or Loopy Loyalty for a standalone stamp-card program.

Pass2U may still be the better choice if you rely on its consumer wallet app, staff checkout and redemption, points, Smart Tap, analytics, reseller program, or credit pricing.

The Pass2U name covers two related products:

  • Pass2U Wallet is a consumer app for storing and organizing passes.
  • Pass2U’s business platform creates, issues, updates, distributes, and redeems Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes.

This guide compares business platforms. A consumer who only needs to store an existing pass needs a wallet app instead.

WalletWallet publishes this guide and is one of the products compared. We checked each provider’s first-party product, pricing, support, and developer materials on August 4, 2026.

A Pass2U migration is usually not an in-place transfer. If you can export the holder data you need, you can recreate the design and records with another provider. Installed passes normally need replacement when they were issued under Pass2U’s credentials. Confirm with Pass2U whether your deployment uses transferable credentials or identifiers, and plan separately for checkout, points, analytics, Smart Tap, and reseller workflows.

Why teams compare Pass2U alternatives

Pass2U’s pay-as-you-go model charges 3 credits to generate a Normal Pass, 3 credits for each update, and 3 credits for email delivery. Its Monthly Premium option covers unlimited updates for an eligible Normal Pass model while it stays within an active-pass quota. Public options include $0 for 10 active passes, $39 for 2,000, and $79 for 5,000. Pass2U marks Monthly Premium as unavailable for Punch Card models.

That structure can suit occasional issuance or one frequently updated model. Teams with many designs or regular changes may prefer another billing unit. Pass2U’s public Pass API guide also describes full API access as an Enterprise feature with an application process, while some alternatives provide a self-serve API key.

Pass2U can run design, distribution, checkout, redemption, points, and reporting. Teams that already run those functions in another system may need only pass infrastructure. A business that only needs stamp cards may prefer a focused loyalty product.

6 Pass2U alternatives by buyer job

1. WalletWallet: self-serve pass operations with flat pricing

WalletWallet Pass Manager showing individual pass operations and a push notification

WalletWallet fits teams leaving Pass2U for self-serve access or a fixed monthly allowance. A POST /api/passes request creates the Apple pass, Google Wallet save link, and hosted install page. Later updates change the pass on installed devices. The API is optional automation.

The visual Pass Editor creates individual passes without code. Batch import maps a CSV into up to 100 passes on Free or 1,000 on Pro. Pro Pass Manager lets staff search and export passes, share install links, edit or notify an individual holder, push updates, and revoke passes.

The free plan covers 1,000 creations and changed updates per month. Pro covers up to 100,000 for $39 per month, with Apple and Google counted together rather than as separate passes.

WalletWallet does not own member records, collect dues, decide renewals, calculate points, or run managed redemption. Keep those workflows in your existing system. Plan replacement passes and any Pass2U checkout, points, analytics, Smart Tap, or reseller functions separately.

2. PassKit: full wallet operations platform

PassKit wallet engagement platform homepage

PassKit fits teams that want another broad wallet engagement platform rather than a smaller pass API. It covers Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, no-code pass design, REST APIs and webhooks, analytics, NFC, and integrations with Zapier, Make, POS systems, CRMs, and email platforms.

Plans start at $39.50 per month after a 45-day trial. That entry price covers one username and includes up to 250 multi-use passes and 250 single-use passes. Additional usernames and pass volume increase the bill.

Apple production passes use your own Pass certificate. Migration includes certificate setup, new templates, holder reissuance where required, and remapping the integrations that supply PassKit. Pass2U may remain simpler when its checkout apps, credit packs, and reseller workflows already fit.

3. PassNinja: API platform for NFC and SDK workflows

PassNinja API platform homepage showing Apple Wallet and Google Wallet support

PassNinja is a developer-oriented Apple Wallet and Google Wallet platform with NFC support, REST APIs, SDKs, webhooks, and integrated paid SMS or email delivery at $0.10 per message.

Public pricing is $21 per template per month plus $0.11 per active pass per month. PassNinja’s documentation says each template targets one wallet, so Apple and Google normally require two templates. That creates a $42 monthly template baseline before active-pass charges. The model can suit short-lived tickets, while long-lived loyalty and membership passes continue to count while active.

For NFC passes, PassNinja says customers can sign with its platform certificate and later switch to their own Apple Pass Type ID or Google collector ID. Your application supplies program data through the API. Migration requires new templates, API calls, and passes. NFC projects also need credentials, approvals, and reader hardware.

4. Passcreator: EU-hosted no-code and API workflows

Passcreator platform homepage showing EU hosting and wallet workflow features

Passcreator combines a visual pass designer with API access, landing pages, workflows, analytics, GPS and iBeacon triggers, and Apple Wallet, Google Wallet, and Samsung Wallet support. It is ISO 27001 certified, positions itself around GDPR compliance, and hosts in the EU.

Public tiers are EUR 0 for 5 active registrations, EUR 16 per month for 200, EUR 120 for 2,000, and EUR 400 for 10,000, before VAT. An active registration is a pass saved to a device or Google account.

Apple production use requires your own Apple Developer account and certificate. Passcreator’s demo certificate supports testing, but its passes carry Passcreator branding and cannot be updated. Migration requires new templates, hosted workflows, holder import when possible, and replacement passes. Decide which customer and transaction records stay in your existing systems.

5. WalletThat: dashboard-led pass operations

WalletThat dashboard-led pass management platform homepage

WalletThat is designed for teams that create, issue, update, redeem, and report on Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes from a dashboard. It includes online template design, issuance forms and links, scheduled bulk updates, CSV import and export, pass redemption, statistics, and API access.

The 30-day trial covers up to 100 Pass Records. The Business plan starts at $99 per month plus $0.01 per active Pass Record, billed using the highest daily record count during the prior month. Enterprise starts at $1,000 per month with custom terms.

Production requires an Apple Developer account and Google Wallet console setup. WalletThat offers a $500 white-glove setup option. Migration requires new templates, record import when possible, replacement passes, and staff training. Keep authoritative customer and transaction records in their current systems unless the integration explicitly moves them.

6. Loopy Loyalty: focused digital stamp-card programs

Loopy Loyalty focuses on digital stamp cards in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet. It provides a web designer, customer enrollment, a staff Stamper App, push messages, geofencing, reporting, and integrations.

Starter is $25 per month for one card design, one location, and three staff users, with unlimited customers. Growth is $69 per month for three designs and three locations. Ultimate is $95 per month for ten designs and ten locations. All plans begin with a 15-day trial.

Loopy Loyalty runs the stamp-card program but does not replace ticketing, access, membership, or general pass generation. Confirm how holder records and stamp balances can move. Plan replacement cards, staff workflows, and another system for non-loyalty passes.

Compare pricing using your own workload

These vendors bill different units: credits, monthly operations, active passes, registrations, templates, pass records, designs, or locations. Model your pass designs, active passes, creations, updates, delivery actions, staff seats, certificates, and hardware before choosing. When Pass2U is still the right choice

Pass2U remains a good fit when:

  • you want pass design, distribution, checkout, redemption, points, and analytics in one platform
  • customers or staff benefit from the Pass2U Wallet and Pass2U Checkout apps
  • you need Google Smart Tap or mobile access capabilities
  • you are an agency that wants a reseller program
  • prepaid credits suit occasional or bursty issuance
  • one frequently updated Normal Pass model fits a Monthly Premium active-pass quota

Those functions explain why moving to a smaller API may create more work even when its billing model looks simpler.
