Founder, WalletWallet
Alen Todorov is the founder of WalletWallet, the API and dashboard that create and update Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes from a single JSON request.
He also built walletwallet.alen.ro, the most popular free wallet pass builder on the web. It converted 25,000 cards into wallet passes on its first day and reached the front page of Hacker News. The guides on this blog come from building both, tested with real passes on real devices. Every post starts with research into both sides of running a pass program: the technical build (APIs, signing, push delivery) and the operations around it (enrollment, verification at the door, renewals and lapses).
Before WalletWallet, Alen spent 15 years leading marketing at tech startups. His favorite piece so far is the punch card and stamp program review, which meant digging through decades of historical programs, from paper stamp cards to park passports.
